With a passion for helping people and a desire to change the way individuals view visiting the dentist’s office, Dr. Vy Tran has more than eight years of experience in the field. Choosing to enter into dentistry after pursuing an internship at an endodontic office, she discovered the unique blend of art and science that leads to incredible, life-changing transformations.
But before she began practicing, she completed her dental doctorate at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. As a dentist near Severna Park, she is Invisalign Certified and is pursuing continuing education courses through the Pankey Institute, which is world-renowned for helping dentists achieve a clearer understanding of comprehensive dentistry. From sessions on root canals to next level endodontics, she strives to expand her skillset and bring new, innovative techniques to her patients.
Dr. Tran also holds professional memberships in the Triple Crown Study Club, the Pankey Study Club, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.
When she isn’t busy transforming smiles within the office, you will find her spending time with her husband and two young boys. She also enjoys cooking Vietnamese food, as it allows her to remain connected to her background, and she makes time to travel with her whole family, so her children can be exposed to other cultures.
“Great experience! Happy to find a dentist and dental office like this. Dr. Tran and staff were wonderful to work and were very accommodating.”

If you’re facing a dental emergency, contact our emergency dentist near Severna Park and schedule a same-day appointment. Over the phone, we’ll provide tips to help you manage your situation until you come into our office. Since most hospitals do not have a dental professional on staff, you should avoid contacting them first unless you’re experiencing a life-threatening symptom, such as a fractured jaw, difficulty breathing, or uncontrollable bleeding. Most dental emergencies are the result of untreated decay or infection, which means you should get into the habit of visiting Dr. Tran every six months to prevent painful complications down the line.
First, you should make a list of factors that are important to you when it comes to your dental care. Do you prefer an office that’s located closer to home or work? Do you want a dentist who’s in-network with your insurance? Do you prefer to see a specialist? By asking yourself these questions, you can narrow down your search and more easily find a practice that’s right for you. Once you’ve found a location close by, read up on patient reviews and staff bios to ensure it’s a good fit!
Did you know that one-third of all working dentists in the United States are female? If having a female dentist is of utmost importance to you, Google is the best place to find one near you. All you have to do is type in, “female dentist near me” and it should provide you with accurate results. To learn more about your dentist’s background, you can read through their bio on the “Meet the Dentist” section of the practice’s website.
Skipping your routine dental checkups may seem like a great way to reduce expenses, but it can actually hurt your wallet more in the long run. For every dollar invested in preventive dental care, you save up to $50 in restorative and cosmetic care down the line. That said, visiting your dentist near Severna Park every six months can save you thousands of dollars on emergency dental care over the years! Best of all, we offer third-party financing through CareCredit to make your bills much easier to manage.
