Frequently Asked Questions

Want to know if it’s time for your next checkup or if we’ll accept your dental insurance? Then you’ve come to the right place! Below, you’ll find answers to many of the most common questions people ask us every day. After reading through this page, if you still have a question for us, please feel free to call us and ask! We’re always ready to talk dentistry and make sure you completely understand your care.

How often should I visit the dentist?

The answer to this really depends on your particular needs, but for the average person, our doctors recommend that they should visit the dentist at least twice a year (or every six months) for a checkup and cleaning. This is the best way to keep a smile looking great as well as prevent the most common dental problems (decay, cavities, gum disease, etc.)

Do you accept children?

Yes we do! We love taking care of Millersville’s littlest smiles, and we have the treatments and gentle touch they need to enjoy comfortable and fulfilling visits every time.

What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?

We offer a multitude of restorative options that can replace any number of missing teeth, and we can also help you determine which one is the best fit for your smile. We can provide traditional bridges, dentures, as well as all-inclusive dental implant care.

I just want my smile to look better. Can you help?

We certainly can! While everything we offer has some aesthetic benefit, our cosmetic services can deliver some truly dramatic results. Whether using teeth whitening, direct bonding, porcelain veneers, or Invisalign, we have everything you need to achieve and maintain the smile you have always wanted.

Do I have to get metal braces to straighten my teeth?

Thanks to Invisalign, you can now get a straighter smile without dealing with a mouthful of metal. Invisalign uses a series of custom-made plastic trays to gently shift the teeth, and patients love it because they are practically invisible. You can even take them out when it’s time to eat or brush your teeth!

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Conklin & Ward Dental Group happily accepts all insurance plans that allow you to choose your own dentist. We are primarily a fee for service practice, so we will expect payment the day of your treatment. If your insurance accepts us, we will file the claim for you, and your provider will reimburse you according to your plan.

Do you offer any financing?

Yes, we actually offer our own in-house financing to help patients manage their out-of-pocket costs. Simply contact our team today to discuss your options, and you can trust that we’ll have a plan that can work for you.
